Praise Report

Zechariah is doing well. Each day we look to see that he is progressing better than the day before. One day at a time. That is all we ask.

His temperature has decreased and no fever ever set in. Thank you for your prayers. Continue to pray.

Each morning the doctors do their rounds where they discuss the progress of each of the patients. Here is what one of the doctor mentioned to us at the of their round as they discussed Zechariah.

"Top Notch" - Dr. Tweddell

This meant that Zak is on the right road to recovery. He is still in the PICU where he is receiving incredible care from all of his nurses. Each of them have gone the extra mile to make him and us feel "at-home" while we are here. Today, the sensors that monitored his oxygen levels have been removed. The IV lines have been removed. The only lines that remain are his chest tubes, but those are planned to be remove tomorrow morning at the latest. Plus, he receives oxygen to help him breath, but he is breathing on his own very well.

Our nurse has told us about the possibility of him leaving the PICU on Sunday and going to a "normal" recovery room. We are still on track to be able to leave within 5 - 10 days of the surgery.

On a personal note:

Our car has lost is power steering while traveling here. We are in the process of finding a mechanic to repair it. Please pray we find the best mechanic for the short time we are here. We believe it's the p.s. line that needs replacing, so we just want all things to go smooth in the repair so we can spend our time focusing on our son.
