Today was a good, good for Zechariah. It started early this afternoon when they removed his ventilator tube. Then, from that time on he has been slowly making steps forward talking, watching TV and interacting with Kathy, the nurses, and I.
After having the breathing tube in for six days his voice has been pretty coarse and will take a little bit of time to fully recover. Until then, our champion five-year old has quite "the frog" that he has captured in his throat.
Word has it this frog may even have a name...
Help name Zak's froggy voice...his frog.
Some suggestions have been.

- Ribbet

- What's yours...
Zak has been is great spirits all day as he is recovering. He has been interacting and at times he may say some fun things due to the meds he is on.
Thank you for prayers and continued support. We have continued to tangibly feel God present in Zak's room. God's peace reigns over our family. Please continue to pray for all our family - Scott, Kathy, Alexandria, and Zechariah as we journey together.
Blessings

How about Robin, the 5-year-old frog from the Muppet Show?
Awesome to hear! I like Fred the Frog. Long story short... My father in Law's name is Fred and I found a frog pillow named Fred the Frog that is going in the baby's room to watch over him. There is no reason why Fred the Frog can't watch over Zak too!!

"Jeremiah" - not only a great Biblical name but it reminds me of the catchy song, "Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine..." Even though his voice is a bit froggy right now, it is great for him to have his friend "voice" back! :)
I second Dave and Mandy's suggestion!
I third Jeremiah:)!
I like Jeremiah as it a biblical name and Zechariah also a biblical name. I just praise the Lord for the miricles that has come about in this child. I have come to know Zak for his Grandma Clare from the Lighthouse radio. May God cont to be with Zak and your family and one day know Zak going to be a witness as to what God has done in his life.

I liked Kat's "Elmo" label... it definitely has that high pitch to it! Elmo the frog could definitely work, but I too like Jeremiah!
