Back to the Cardiac Cath Lab

Today we had our first scheduled Cardiology appointment for Zechariah in Minnesota. We were excited to meet our new cardiologist and hear our normal updates and find out that we need to come back for another check up in 6 months.
That unfortunately was not how the day’s events panned out. We did go to Zechariah’s cardiologist and met her and are excited to have her talk to us in a way that we can understand. However the report that we heard was the unexpected.
Ever since Zechariah’s open-heart surgery 4 years ago, Zak has had elevated pulmonary pressures. Today they were elevated higher than what we have come to know as his normal dangerously high. We were told that the only reasonable next step was to get him into the cardiac cath lab. I will explain what this means to the best of my understanding. Zechariah will be put under and then they insert a scope into his heart and take pictures and measurements of the inside of his heart to check out what can be causing this elevated pressures.
To our surprise they had an opening in the Cardiac Catherization Lab on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Basically we are calling all forces to pray that the doctors will have wisdom on how to take care of Zechariah.
God is so faithful. He brings us his incredible peace and takes care of us through anything. We know that we aren’t in this alone but God is our strong tower. God loves Zechariah more than I ever could. He has incredible plans for him.
So anyway we are just asking you to join with us and pray. Ultimately that God would touch Zak’s heart and heal him and also for wisdom for the doctors and for Scott and I on what the best way to move forward on the care for our precious little man.Blessings we will keep you updated, as we know more.

Will be thinking of your little man...if you need anything, I'm only a call away and understand the cardiology-related "stuff" way too well...

Hey guys, when i heard you were going in we prayed right away, then last night i heard this report and intially felt sadden, but as i began to lift him up in prayer things changed-God took over my thinking.this child is a child of the kingdom and satan has no right to steal from the kingdom of God, his schemes have been ezposed to us as theft and that is not acceptable. Our faith must stand on Gods promises, for "if we do not stand in our faith we will not stand at all", i began thinking of my 2 year old when he prays- it goes something like this"Thank you Father for this day, for being with us, touch zach's heart, in Jesus name amen, amen for Zach", but the key is he knows it will be done, not maybe but it will be done as we believe it will by our father. we must have that child like faith in our father. so believe and see the impossible happen. also watch as to putting too much belief in doctors, because God will do it with or without them, He created Zach and He can recreate his heart,God doesn't need a doctor to work through but only a herat that believes, faith will move Him.
